I have lived in the Bagnall area all my life and feel a strong personal commitment to supporting and enhancing the local community. Having seen how the parish has evolved over many decades, I believe I can bring both continuity and a practical, forward-looking perspective to the Council.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience at board level across a range of sectors, leading teams, managing complex projects, and working with diverse stakeholders in both the public and private sectors . These roles have required clear communication, sound judgement, and the ability to balance differing viewpoints - skills which I believe are directly relevant to the work of a Parish Councillor.
I have a strong track record in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and delivering results, often in challenging environments. I am used to analysing issues, listening to others, and contributing constructively to collective decisions. My experience working with organisations, community-linked bodies, and advisory groups has also given me a good understanding of how to build effective working relationships and represent wider interests responsibly.
Alongside my professional career, I have been involved in charitable and community-focused work, including serving as an industry representative on the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Council. This has reinforced my belief in the importance of supporting local people, particularly younger generations, and contributing positively to community development.
